Completion of the project "Start for your business! - South Muntenia Region"

The project "Start for your business! - South Muntenia Region", MySMIS code 104179, implemented by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Romania (Project Beneficiary) and the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency (Project Partner) was completed on 02.04.2021.

The project had an implementation period of 39 months, with a total budget of 11.150.504,77 lei (non-reimbursable eligible amount from ESF: 9.477.929,05 lei) and was funded by the Human Capital Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 3, Jobs for all, Specific Objective 3.7 Increasing employment by supporting non-agricultural enterprises in urban areas, "Romania Start-Up Plus".

The overall objective of the project was to increase employment in the South Muntenia development region by developing the entrepreneurial culture of individuals (unemployed, inactive people, people who have a job and are setting up a business in order to create new jobs) and supporting the establishment, development and maintenance on the market of non-agricultural enterprises in urban areas.

The project has achieved the following main results:

    An awareness campaign implemented in order to present the specific elements of the project to the public. The campaign informed 164,143 people from the general public about the opportunities offered by the project and the main conditions to benefit from them.
    7 information seminars implemented in each county of the South-Muntenia development region, attended by 273 interested people.
    14 sessions of courses for the acquisition of Entrepreneurial Skills organised in each county of the development region targeted by the project, in which 371 members of the target group enrolled, out of which 337 people obtained ANC certification.
    A business plan competition implemented, as a result of which:
        42 business plans were approved for de minimis aid of up to 178,340 lei out of a total of 106 business plans submitted;
        42 people whose business plans were selected for further de minimis aid received counselling, advice and mentoring in entrepreneurship and acquired practical skills in real enterprises;
        42 grant contracts have been signed by the entrepreneurship scheme administrator with the start-ups.
    41 de minimis aid beneficiaries successfully implemented business plans, generating 91 new jobs regionally and ensuring the sustainability of the funded businesses for a minimum of 6 months after the completion of the implementation of the business plans.
    An analysis of the entrepreneurial environment in the South Muntenia region carried out and disseminated to stakeholders.

Thanks to all participants and experts involved, who made possible the successful implementation of the project "Start for your business! - South Muntenia Region" and the achievement of the proposed results.
